How broad is a neutrino?

Canonical neutrino oscillations arise due to the propagation of three mass eigenstates from production detection. We aspire capture, in one simple framework, a broad range new physics effects on beyond this canonical picture - can be done by promoting propagators general K\"all\'en-Lehmann form. In work we demonstrate how models predicting additional light propagating species are naturally accommodated language and propose model spectrum composed just `broadened' states as flexible ansatz which explore phenomenology propagation. Reinterpreting existing oscillation measurements, illustrate framework provides capacity probe deviations standard three-neutrino scenario systematically generally. Whilst current data allows for relatively strong constraints broadened neutrinos, find upcoming JUNO experiment will yield significant improvements, particularly heaviest neutrino, paving way clearer understanding neutrinos propagate vacuum.
